P-51 D Mustang Poster

Elegant poster of the legendary P-51 D Mustang. The legendary North American P-51 Mustang is probably one of the most famous fighters of World War II. A total of 15,858 aircraft were built between 1942 and 1948, an average of more than 7 aircraft a day. Much of it was used in Europe, the rest in the Pacific. The Mustang had a greater range than any other fighter at the time and could escort long-range bombers anywhere in Europe. In aerial combat, the machines shone through their high speed and agility. The armament consisted of 6 x 12.7mm Browning M2 machine guns and a selection of bombs and missiles for ground attacks.
