The Piper Cub is one of the most built and most famous airplanes in the world. Countless pilots have learned to fly on this type and they always have the Piper Cub "Bear" logo with them.
More than 20,000 of the J-3 Cubs were built from 1938 and another 10,000 of the successor model, the PA-18 Super Cub.
Today, a Cub can still be found on almost every airfield, whether as a workhorse for bush flying or as a tow plane in an aviation club.
