The A400M Atlas:
The A400M Atlas is a state-of-the-art turboprop transport aircraft developed by EADS and now being produced by Airbus. Around 120 aircraft have been built since the first flight in 2009 and the entry into service in 2013. The Atlas is powered by 4 11,000 hp turboprop engines and can carry almost twice the payload of a C-130 Hercules with 37t. The main customers of the transporter are Germany, France, Spain and Great Britain.
